[Malachi, Summer 2000]

Hi! I'm Malachi.

I was born in Greeneville, TN at 2:06pm on November 27, 1975, which, as it happened, was Thanksgiving Day. My parents were Darlene McCleish and John Brown, but I've almost always called them Dar and JB.

I was given the name Malachi B-J Brown. Malachi is an Old Testament Bible name that my mother liked. The B-J stands for Bubba Johnson, but on my driver's license it only says Bubba because the people at the DMV have no sense of humor. My father picked out the names Bubba and Johnson because he liked them. Actually, I was supposed to just be B-J until I was old enough to pick a name (hippies that my parents were), but they started calling me Bubba Johnson before I was born, so I am kind of stuck on it.

I lived my first few years in obscurity in Afton, TN, which is just outside of Greeneville.

I played trombone in the band at Greeneville High School. And later at with Tennessee Tech's Golden Eagle Marching Band. I even have a picture of some of our high school band antics.

I attended Tennessee Technological University from 1994 until I graduated in 1998 with a degree in Management Information Systems (MIS) in the College of Business Administration.
[Kimberly, 010714]

In the summer of 1998 I married a wonderful woman named Kimberly Spencer. We had met at Tennessee Tech and had been friends for several years before we became romanticly involved.

A few months after that we added two guinea pigs, Abby and Oort, to our little family. On March 29, 2001 Oort passed on to the Rainbow Bridge. She was two and a half years old.

On April 5, 2001 we brought a new baby guinea pig into our home. Her name is Eep and she has long, multicolored hair.

After I graduated I landed a job at Willis. At the time it was called Willis Corroon. I program in Visual Basic.

Just after thanksgiving, in the fall of the year 2000, circumstance introduced a puppy into our lives. His name is Torgo, after a character in an infamous movie.

I am not religious. (This is very strange in my part of the USA.) In fact, depending on the day, I will tend to be Discordian or pragmatic utilitarian existential agnostic unitarian universalist. I have started my own cabal and church: The Bubba Cabal and The First Church of Bubba respectivly. Kimberly and I joined The First Unitarian Universalist Church of Nashville. We now teach Our Whole Lives there. I have weird dreams.

I am allergic to grass, trees, and cats. I cannot smell anything because of this. Well, I can smell a few really strong things, but generally, I can't smell anything. I don't hate cats... but I don't seek them out... (note: they tend to seek me out. I think that I send out some kind of signal that tells cats that I am allergic so they know to play with me.)

[House of

I like Maurits Cornelis Escher's Art. This is House of Stairs, my personal favorite.

I stalking ducklings.
